In the former article, we established that there is a contention over our bodies, and Christ has paid the price for our total health, but faith is required to enforce the reality of the price. In the latter article, we introduced the Great Physician as unveiled in Matthew 9:12-13 and His prescriptions. In the previous series, we examined two prescriptions. In this concluding series, we will examine two more prescriptions.
The Prophetic Mantle
The Prophetic Mantle is any clothing material taken from an anointed one which carries the anointing upon such an individual. As it is written: And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them (Acts 19:11-12; see also Psalm 45:6-8). The Prophetic Mantle is a mystery that carries the anointing of God upon the head of the anointed, which is an instrument of special miracles and deliverance. This was demonstrated in the ministry of Jesus, when the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of His garment, and she was made whole (Matthew 9:20-22; see also Matthew 14:34-36). There are amazing testimonies of the wonders of God through this mystery. In 1996, one of us was involved in an aircraft accident. When the aircraft was misbehaving in the air, he tied the Mantle around his neck and rested his head. The aircraft broke into two before him, and he was the only survivor.
Please understand that the Prophetic Mantle is not a magic wand, nor is it a church doctrine; it is a kingdom mystery and an instrument of power ordained for our healing. However, to draw virtue from the Prophetic Mantle, your heart must be right with God. The Mantle will only work in the hands of those whose hearts are right (2 Kings 5:25-27). Therefore, your salvation is non-negotiable; it is key to experiencing the virtue in this mystery (John 3:3). To draw virtue from the Mantle, you must also believe in the person and ministry of the carrier of such unction. Understand that such individuals occupy a higher place than you in the realm of the Spirit, as there are hierarchies in the kingdom (1 Corinthians 12:28; Deuteronomy 34:10). Also, it takes honour to access the flow of unction from a higher source. As it is written: And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching (Mark 6:5-6). Therefore, honour the carrier in your heart.
The Mystery of Feet Washing
The mystery of Feet Washing is a New Testament mystery designed to restore the dominion of the saints. It is a medium through which all our missing parts in Christ are restored. Jesus Christ initiated this mystery. He said to His disciples: …Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all (John 13:8-10).By this mystery, Jesus was restoring to the redeemed the dominion that was lost in the first Adam.
What is in Feet Washing?
- It is a spiritual medium through which we take delivery of our inheritance in Christ. Our inheritance in redemption includes all things that make for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3; Revelation 5:12).
- It ushers believers into our heritage of healing, health and wholeness. It becomes a cure for all manner of sickness, disease and untimely death (Deuteronomy 33:24-25; Luke 10:17-19).
- It provides access to the realm of supernatural breakthroughs. It is the cure for all forms of frustrations and failures (Joshua 1:3; Habakkuk 3:17-19).
When approaching the bowl of water, see it as a kind of Red Sea, where all forms of misfortune, captivity and struggle for survival are drowned. Also see it as a kind of River Jordan that clears every barrier on your path to your promised land (Joshua 3:15-16) and the pool of Bethsaida, where all manner of sickness and disease are healed instantly (John 5:1-5).
It is important to note that these mysteries may not make sense to the natural mind, but they are the hidden place of God’s power, so as you engage with them in faith, expect the release of healing, health and wholeness.
