Having established the fact that faith is a vital requirement to securing your healing, health and wholeness, it is also important to understand that Jesus is the Great Physician. In the story of the man with palsy, Jesus introduced Himself as the Physician, and He healed all who were sick. As it is written: But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance (Matthew 9:12-13), and But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all (Matthew 12:15).
In the world of medicine, specialists handle different kinds of sicknesses. When you consult one, he refers you to another who specialises in that field. That is not the case with this Great Physician; He does not refer cases to anyone. He is the end of all human search for total health. No wonder when He gave the disciples power, He instructed them to go after all manner of sickness and all manner of disease (Matthew 10:1).
Furthermore, it is not enough to have a specialist as your family doctor; you must also be willing to embrace his prescriptions to enjoy the benefits of his expertise. In the same vein, if you accept Jesus as your Redeemer and Physician, you must subscribe to His prescriptions to enjoy sound health and wholeness. Let us examine some of the Great Physician’s prescriptions for our healing.
The Holy Communion
This is one of Jesus’ prescriptions through which eternal life is activated in us (John 6:48-58). It is designed to secure healing, health, strength, wholeness and longevity. It is designed to renew the flow of that life that is immune to all forms of sickness and disease. This is a divine medication that always delivers without any side effects. The Holy Communion is made up of the Flesh and Blood of Jesus.
The Flesh.
Jesus made this plain description in John 6:48: I am that bread of life. The Bread, which is the Flesh, is the Bread of life that swallows up death in victory (John 6:49-51; see also Matthew 26:26). When you take the Bread, you live like Christ, and nothing can molest your body or life.
The Blood.
Your state of being is traceable to the content of your blood. The white blood corpuscles are the soldiers of the body that attack every stranger in the human body. So, if white connotes righteousness, and Christ is the ultimate righteousness, His Blood is the spiritual soldier in our bodies that launches a divine attack on any satanic manifestation (John 6:54-57).
By the Communion, you have the life of Christ in you, so you have the redemptive right to reject whatever is not like Christ in you. Please note that the Holy Communion does not need any special preparation. As it is written: And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (Matthew 26:26-28).
The Anointing Oil
Contrary to some people’s beliefs, the mystery of the Anointing Oil is biblical. It is a transgenerational mystery that has its roots in the Old Testament (Exodus 30:23-31) and also in the New Testament to confirm the ministry of Jesus Christ. The detailed description of the Anointing Oil in Exodus 30 clearly states God’s intention for our sound health. When Jesus called the 12, He placed a seal of approval on the use of this mystery (Mark 6:7, 12-13). Therefore, the Anointing Oil is another prescription of the Great Physician. The Spirit of God is packaged in the bottle, which is designed to communicate the power of God.
What is in the Anointing Oil?
- The Yoke Destroying Power of God. The Anointing Oil contains the yoke-destroying power of God that can destroy the burden and yokes of the wicked on our lives (Isaiah 10:27).
- The Breakthrough Power of God (1 Samuel 16:13, 17:51, 18:5).
- The Healing Power of God (Mark 6:7,12-13; James 5:14-15).
- The Exemption Power of God. Whatever is anointed is separated unto God and becomes a no-go area for the devil and his agents (Ezekiel 9:6; Psalm 105:15).
As stated in Exodus 30, the Oil was prepared by apothecaries, which is known in today’s language as chemists. It is a chemical product brought to church for prophetic blessings, which then turns into the Anointing Oil. It is used to anoint people, places, things, etc. (Exodus 30:25-26, 30). Anything you anoint becomes a no-go area for the devil, and when you anoint yourself, you become an untouchable personality by the devil (Psalm 105:15).
